1. choose an emotion 2. choose a rhyme scheme: for example ABAB or ABCB 3 choose a meter: for example 9 7 9 7 (syllables in a line) 4. brainstorm rhyming words that apply to your poem Write a sixteen line poem that has four sets of four lines as shown below. 1. B Remember, poetry can not be written without a lot of moving words around and trying out different phrases.

Presentations are due into class next Thursday, Nov. 24th and will be shared with the class on Friday Nov. 25th.
This is a work at home project. Research, printing, modelling, etc. are all homework. Here is the outline we will be using. Read through the document. Answer the questions that go with each poem. Bring your work into class on Monday. Post one or more or all of your answers to the questions on the blog. Comment on on other persons answer to a question by adding to there answer or disagreeing with them. Do not just say,"Wow, Claire. Gosh your answer to #2 was really keen."
