Parents have homework too! Baby pictures and one other favourite picture is due on Monday.
There are four things due on Monday. 1. Country description and code of laws. 2. Human Rights charter that reflects your country's style of government. 3. Activist's picture. We talked about some pictures in class like the Tiannamin Square photo, Tommy Douglas, Terry Fox, Ghandi, Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks etc. Try to find your own unique picture. Remember the picture of the protestor hugging the riot policeman. 4. Your picture with a thought bubble with a saying you are considering having for the slideshow. I will start a gallery on this blog that you can visit..

You can start writing your Persuasive Letter drafts in Your OneNote file folder. Please, use OneNote and don't write on Word and save it to a USB. OneNote is safe and secure. Only you and I can see your work. (We'll never have to search for assignments again!!!!!!!!!!)
1. Open the Content Library folder to see an outline of the Persuasive Letter Assignment. 2. Open a Language Arts folder under your file name.. Start writing your draft letter there. 3. The collaborative space can be used to talk to others about your assignment. Remember, this is a school district platform and it knows who is writing what? (This is not like the Google drive.) 1. Post the draft of your persuasive letter into your OneNote folder for Language Arts.
2. This homework can't be done until Saturday. So, if you came here thinking you'd write something quick and be done... NOPE. You have to put some thought in to it. I will erase posts put up before Saturday. Be thoughtful.. Ms. van den Boogaard has put a lot of time and thought into your life so return the favour. Minimum 80 words 1. How did you like having a student teacher in the class? Was it a nice change? Did it make the class more confusing? 2. What were two things about van B's style that you liked? Two things she did well? 3. What was your favourite lesson that she taught? 4. What parting salutation (goodbye statement) would you like to send her back to her school with? First write a comment about a nice thing you have done or said to someone today. Then, work on this assignment. Bring this information to class.
1. What do you call it when an American President is forced out of office before his full term is over? 2. Who is the last President to have this happen to him? What did he do? 3. What do you call it when a Canadian Prime Minister is forced out of office before his full term is over? (Hint: It's a kind of vote in parliament.) 4. Which Prime Ministers have had this happen to them? Who was the last one? Awesome speech today Ethan. Thanks for delivering that powerful message. |
