These factors include food, water, shelter, good transportation and the ability to protect yourself and your people. Where we live shapes our culture which includes quality of life, religion (values) and technology.” Science - Big Idea for 2016 Term 1 & 2 “Science (technology) develops based on five factors that are population, quality of life, location or proximity to others, a culture that values learning and access to resources. Science/technology helps societies grow and prosper but must continually evolve to stay ahead of problems it creates.” Three areas of science that are racing to stay ahead of population growth are health care, agriculture, and sources of clean energy. Can you think of any more? I’m sure there are many. |
